AT THE STUDIO HOTEL WE VALUE THE ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY
We do not clean rooms unnecessarily and therefore reduced the amount of cleaning days for our longstay guests. We do not change bedsheets every day and we only change towels if they are laying on the floor. We make strict demands on our suppliers, whom only wash in carbon-neutral machines with low temperatures. All floors in the corridors and social areas, i.e. almost half of the house, is cleaned with ultra-clean water without any chemicals.
FOOD AND DRINKS
Our breakfast is prepared from scratch and we use organic and locally produced products to the greatest extent possible. We have chosen to have a smaller range to focus on good products and to reduce our food waste. No plastic items are being used, but instead we use materials that can be broken down, such as bamboo. In order to minimize food waste, we try to create something of every product. We also collaborate with Karma that specialize in selling food about to expire.
Our building has a high environmental classification, so-called Leed Gold. Heat and cold are in symbiosis and set according to prevailing weather. We have motion detectors on all floors that light the lamps when someone passes by and thus are not used unnecessarily. In the rooms we use switches to regulate the lights. All the lamps in the house are low-energy solutions. From spring 2020, we will also offer our guests the possibility to charge electric cars.
DELIVERY AND WASTE
We aim to have as few deliveries as possible, which are coordinated for all the departments. The waste separation is done carefully with well-planned logistics, both in the “back of house” and in every floor for the guests. Food waste is avoided, but the little we have is being collected in biodegradable bags without plastic.
